World Kindness Day: Join Us with LUSH — November 13

On World Kindness Day, we’re celebrating community care in action. The International Girls Academy is excited to join LUSH on November 13 to share the work we’re doing with and for our community — and invite you to spread kindness with bracelets that carry a message of hope.

Why World Kindness Day matters at IGA?

Kindness is how we practice our principles every day. Rooted in the Nguzo Saba — especially Ujima, collective work and responsibility — we show up together to make dignity tangible and belonging real for our girls and families.

November 13 with LUSH: what to expect

  • Learn about IGA’s programs and how we empower students to create their own table

  • Meet mentors, student leaders, and partners who make hands‑on learning possible

  • Help assemble and share kindness bracelets as simple, powerful tokens of support

  • Discover ways to volunteer, mentor, or partner this season

Kindness bracelets: small gifts, big impact

Each bracelet is a reminder that care travels. Students and volunteers will prepare bracelets to share with peers, families, and neighbors — a spark of encouragement that says, “You belong here.”

Ujima in action

When we build together, everyone rises. With LUSH and our broader community, we’re turning kindness into action through service, learning, and celebration.
