International Girls Academy Receives $10,000 Grant from The Allstate Foundation to Power Ujima Business Pitch Program and Organizational Growth

The International Girls Academy (IGA) is proud to announce it has been awarded a $10,000 grant from The Allstate Foundation. This significant funding will directly support the Ujima Business Pitch Program and help expand IGA’s overall programming, strengthening our mission to empower, educate, and inspire the next generation of young women leaders.

Investing in Youth-Led Innovation

The Allstate Foundation’s College Service Grants are designed to empower youth-led, youth-driven community service and leadership initiatives. With this grant, IGA will enhance the Ujima Business Pitch Program, an annual competition where middle and high school girls develop and present comprehensive business plans. The program fosters creativity, strategic thinking, and entrepreneurial skills, providing participants with valuable experience pitching to a panel of judges and competing for prizes that recognize their innovation and hard work.

Strengthening Our Impact

In addition to supporting the Ujima Business Pitch Program, the grant will bolster IGA’s broader organizational programming. This includes initiatives that increase access to service experiences, foster leadership development, and deepen the impact of youth-led activities across our community.
